As it relates to smartphones, batteries are incredibly important. It cannot be stressed enough that batteries make or break your smartphone. In recent news, there has been a lot of talk on where companies like Apple or Samsung should consider increasing their battery sizes more and more for the sake of longer battery life. This however means the end of the thin phone. You can’t change the laws of nature, and our extremely perplexing problem with the conservation of energy when used via a chemical reaction in batteries will not go away for some time.
How do we solve it? Our solution is a simple one. Make changing out the battery relatively easy and place rent-a-charge stations throughout metropolitan areas. The latter is already being done to some extent, but it would make sense that without a foreseeable solution to our battery lifetime crisis, we’ll need to look outside of the box to solve this problem.
